i bet you'd do well on some island nation,
how many do you own?
that there's been no mutiny or insurrection,
the population must be mindless clones.
no more autographs, skin grafts, or politicians shafts,
that's for those we leave behind,
who grovel blindly at every whim and word
at your fractured and twisted mind.
your troops are loyal to a fault,
a year of virtual house arrest,
you're clearly a coward with something to hide,
but i think i've past the test.
circling the block with blood curdling stares,
less than i'd expect from boys in blue,
but this is howard county, no real crime here,
and they've nothing better to do.
this is how they keep our safe streets safe,
from raping, mugging and murdering,
not the noble heroic style of a proud profession,
but more reminiscent of high school bullying.
i'd not be surprised there are some lawmen
who are religious ideological cranks,
and i'd not be surprised if klansmen
occupied a few of their poisoned ranks.
it's abuse like this that causes
some loving hearts to hate,
and it's abuse like this that causes
some lesser men to retaliate.
there's the hungry, homeless, and terminally ill,
without resources enough to nudge it,
make jesus proud, let's bring up the poor
by slashing half off that swollen police budget.
it's distasteful to speak in such general terms,
and every term has an exception or two,
but everyday it gets clearer,
the hcpd is more like the ones they pursue.
in one respect the prophets of old
will serve briefly as godless mentor,
i'll climb the summit and ascend into heaven,
atop mt olympus at government center.
my light shineth brightly and some pitch black starry nightly,
when dancing flames meld with my soul,
the angels from heaven with chariots a revin'
