All too often, their heavy handedness with the public, rather than ameliorating conflicts in the community, only serve to inflame conflict. Rather than helping to build to a safe, productive and welcoming community, where all citizens can live and work in peaceful coexistence, they instead contribute to a community environment that's explosive and dangerous for all of us.
